Solar Boat

Solar Boat, designed and produced as a research boat utilising a sustainable system that doesn’t pollute the environment, while carrying 4 people surveying a lake with an engine solely running with solar cells. Due to working with solar energy,
the boat is much quieter in respect to other engines and therefore it reduces the disturbance of natural life underwater, making the boat a desirable device for underwater research. It is also equipped with necessary tool for research, observation and documentation of aquatic studies. Following the finalisation of its construction, the boat was donated to METU, Biology Department to be used for future underwater research in the Eymir Lake, in Ankara.
