 DIRECTIVE CONCERNING

SUPPORT FOR PUBLICATIONS BY

THE CLEAN ENERGY FOUNDATION

 1.  At the meeting of the Administrative Board of the Clean Energy Foundation held on September 22^nd, 1995, it was approved that support should be granted for the publication of original works in the area of clean energies. The granting of support is to be realized according to the following principles:

 2.  Works which will be granted support are books, booklets, scientific investigations and articles, etc., either originally written in Turkish or translated (into Turkish).

 3. The authors of the works should apply to the Clean Energy Foundation with a formal request for a publication support, to which they should add a copy of the work for which support is requested. They should also state whether they receive any support from other resources for the publication of their work and the amount of support, if received.

 4.  The applications, after being reviewed and evaluated by the Administrative Board are reviewed by another board composed by persons designated by the Administrative Board, which is asked to state its written opinion. If the opinion of the board is positive, the Administrative Board discusses and finalizes the application. If the opinion of the Board is negative, a written answer of refusal is sent to the authors.

 5.  It is discussed and decided upon by the Administrative Board according to which of the following principles support will be granted to the work for which support has already been approved.

1. The intellectual property right is paid to the authors. The work is published as a publication of the Clean Energy Foundation, by the Foundation. The intellectual property right is paid in accordance with the relevant law in force and present-day conditions are also taken into consideration. The Administrative Board of the Clean Energy Foundation is authorized to determine the amount to be paid. A number of copies of the published work are given to the authors (depending on whether there is a single author or there are more authors) free of charge. The work which has been supported under these conditions are put on sale by the Clean Energy Foundation at a price determined by the Foundation and the profit is transferred to the budget of the Foundation as income. In case of editions following the first one, the Administrative Board is authorized to decide regarding making extra payment to the authors.

2. The authors are responsible for the publication of the work. The Clean Energy Foundation agrees to purchase a number of copies. The amount of money corresponding to this purchase is determined by the Administrative Board of the Clean Energy Foundation. The contribution of the Clean Energy Foundation to the publication of a work under such conditions should be mentioned in written form on the front inside page of the publication in a convenient place.  

3. A certain amount of financial support determined by the Administrative Board is given to the authors for the publication of the work. The work is published by the authors. It should be written on the front inside page of a publication supported under these conditions that the Clean Energy Foundation has given support for the publication. Ten copies of the publication is given to the Clean Energy Foundation free of charge.  

4. The Administrative Board of the Foundation gives a document to the authors, saying that it approves the publication of the work and that its publication will be beneficial.
